(Received May 21, at 11.50 a.m.) The ‘ Daily Telegraph's Tokio correspondent says the Government is attacking the problem of providing wives for 2,400 lonely Japanese_ settlers in Manchukuo. It has established an institution for the training of women for wifehood in a country where conditions vastly differ from Japan. A million second sons of Japanese farmers will go to Manchukuo in the next five years, entailing a constant supply of brides.
