QUESTION OF SWISS NEUTRALITY IMPORTANT ISSUES RAISED Press Association —By Telegraph Copyright GENEVA, May 10. (Received May 11, at 8 a.in.) The report of the Economic Committee of the League is not yet completed, but it suggests more frequent meetings of the present committees And closer contact between all States collaborating with the League. M. Motta, at a public meeting of the Council, declared that Switzerland was no longer content with her form of neutrality, which exposed her to all dangers. Two of the three of Switzerland's great neighbours had left the League. Switzerland would be compelled to withdraw her position of ageold neutrality. M. Litvinoff doubted the competence of the Council to decide the question, and a rapporteur was appointed to consider the matter. HEALTH COMMITTEE'S REPORT ANTI-EPIDEMIC CAMPAIGN IN CHINA. GENEVA, May 11. (Received May 12, at 12.30 p.m.) Mr Jordan presented the report of the Health Committee. Drawing attention to the League’s work in connection with the antiepidemic campaign in China, he pointed out its importance for Powers having Far Eastern interests." Ho announced that the Netherlands and Dutch East Indies Governments had opened credits to help the work. He hoped that other Governments would act similarly, as resources were limited. Dr Wellington Koo, thanking the League, said that the anti-epidemic mobile units wOre carrying on the work under dangerous conditions, owing to the Japanese air raids. INTERVENTION IN SPAIN INTERNATIONAL INQUIRY ASKED FOR. GENEVA, May 11. (Received May 12, at 11.5 a.m.) Senor Delvayo asked the League to conduct an inquiry into intervention in Spain through an international commission having the power to go anywhere. He predicted that democracies would soon suffer the same fate as Spain. The Chilean delegate informed the Council that Chile might be obliged to leave the League unless xirticle 16 was dropped.
