EGYPTIAN COTTON DUTIES
NEW AMBASSADOR TO DISCUSS POSITION (British Official Wireless.) Press Association —By . Pelesrapb -Copyright RUGBY, May 9. (Received May 10, at noon.) The new Egyptian Ambassador in London, Hassan Nashat Pasha, who-is due to reach England at the end of the month, will discuss with the British Government the Note delivered _ to Cairo on April 23 expressing the serious misgivings regarding Egypt’s new.cotton duties. When the Lancashire cotton trade protested last month at Egypt’s action, in doubling most of the duties on cotton it was pointed out that Lancashire was Egypt’s best customer for cotton.
