Mr Hull said the United States reciprocal trade treaty programme was the United States’s contribution to th© need for world economic co-operation. “In the world to-day there is not a more potent force for economic wellbeing and social stability than the expanding of international trade, functioning on the basis of mutual advantage, fair dealing, and non-discriminatory treatment.”
