A demonstration .was made in the city during the shopping crush by groups of men and 1 women against Count Felix von Luckner. whose admission to Australia is being hotly opposed. Calic.o banners were carried by some persons. On the banners Was painted the following slogan;—“Keep out, Luckner. We don’t want here.”.,
A clash occurred' with the police in George street during the parade when' the police attempted to break up the gathering, which was hampering the traffic. Three'arrests were made.
