RATANA RAILWAY DISASTER

The Board of Ihquiry set up to investigate the railway : disaster near Katana will leave Wellington by special train on April 11 to inspect the locality of the derailment.’ The board will then visit the workshops at Easto_wn (Wanganui) to examine the rolling stock involved in the accident. On April 13 the board will commence its sittings at Waiganui, when evidence of a technical lature from departmental officers vill be heard. The board will return to Wellington the following day, and vill then adjourn until April 26, when toe inquiry will be resumed.
