He added that the air force was not merely,an instrument of peace, But the sharpest instrument of war. When Herr Hitler declared that Germany would not tolerate the' unjust treatment of Germans living outside the frontiers the. air force knew it had to do its duty to the last. General Goering revealed that Herr Hitler considered the creation of an air force more important than all domestic affairs.
