Recalling the strikes which delayed the completion of the Paris Exhibition over 1,000 joiners at the Exhibition at Glasgow struck for an increase of ■ 5d an hour to 2s, with an. additional Id an hour “ dittyl money” for those working outside the buildings who are hampered by , rain and mud. , As the joiners are the key men, the opening of the exhibition may be delayed.
