ROTARY CONFERENCE

NEW DISTRICT GOVERNOR MR G. W. HUTCHISON SELECTED [Psr United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, February 25. Mr George \V. Hutchison, a former Mayor of Auckland, was selected by the National Rotary Conference today as the new district governor of New Zealand iij succession to Mr F. G. Hall-Jones. Mr Hutchison’s name will bo submitted to Rotary International. Mr Hutchison was a foundation member of the Auckland Rotary Club in 1921. and was president in 1928-29. He is a C.M.G. and a Chevalier of the Region of Honour of France. An invitation was extended by the Napier Club to Hold the next national conference at Napier The conference was concluded today, when addresses were given by Hr p. Stanley Foster (Christchurch), Mr H. G Guthrie (Dunedin), the Rev. H. W. Newell (Wellington), Mr James Hogg (Dunedin), and the Rev. A. O. Watson (Christchurch). The Colty Cup for attendance at the conference was presented to the Auckland Club.
