STATE MINE IDLE
LATE MINERS REFUSED LAMPS [Per United Press Association.] GiIeYMOUTH, -February 24. Following a dispute yesterday regarding the non-issue of lamps, the Liverpool State mine was again idle to-day. Some miners arrived late for work yesterday, with resultant refusal by the management to issue lamps. The remainder of the men ceased work as a protest. After a meeting at the mine mouth this morning the men decided to return home and resume to-morrow. The reason for refusal of work to-day is unstated.
