RAVENSBOURNE REGATTA

Final arrangements have now been made for the above regatta on Saturday next. Good entries have been received for all events, and visitors are assured of an excellent day’s outing. The programme comprises races for yachts, launches, swimmers, and model yachts. Afternoon tea will be provided and children will be catered for by launch trips. Trains will leave town for the regatta at 2.30, returning at 4 and 5.30. In the evening a yachtsmen’s dance will be held in the Coronation Hall, Ravensbourne, when the prizes won during the day will be presented. A train will leave town at 7.15 p.m. and buses will leave the Queen’s Gardens at 8.15, returning to the city and Port Chalmers after the dance. The music will bo supplied by the Savonians.
