ENGINEERS’ CONFERENCE

> SOCIAL ACTIVITIES Yesterday afternoon Mrs J. M‘G. Wilkie (wife of the president of the institute) was hostess at a most delightful afternoon tea party at the Otago Women’s Club, given in honour of the wives and daughters of the delegates to the Engineers’ Conference, at present irt session. Last evening a drive round the city environs to see the lights was arranged, followed by supper at the Brown House, from which an unsurpassed view can be obtained. This morning, as the guests of Mrs F. J. Williams, the visitors were taken for a drive round the Peninsula, with a call at Larnach Castle, and afterwards were entertained at morning tea at the Highcliff Cafe.
