THE LEETE CUP The noviee handicap for the Leeto Cup was. held on the Dunedin Gun Club’s / ground at Green island on Saturday afternoon. The weather was fine, but a strong north-easterly wind made the flight of the targets low and erratic. There were 11 entries in the Leeto Cup match (nine birds), and the following five drew with sev.en breaks each:—W. G. Hewitt, J. Bethune, S. Johnson, F. Harty, and F. Hare. In the shoot-off three of these were quickly eliminated, leaving S. Johnson and F. Hare, who shot it out until F. Hare missed his eighteenth bird, leaving S. Johnson the winner. The scores in tho eye-opener match (six' birds) were as follows:—G. E. Turner, S. F. Aburn, W. Morland, J. K. Begg, R. Bruce, and J B. Craigle 6; W. It. Morland, 11. Fletcher, J. Paterson, H. Barclay, and I. Stycho 5. The final match was a 15-bird handicap, which was won by H. Fletcher (11yds), who registered a possible. J. K. Bogg (12yds) was second with 14 and J. Bethune (11yds) third with 13 breaks. The rest of the scores were as follows: —G E. Turner (17yds), S. F. Aburn Qoyds). W Morland (12yds), Dr Greenslade (11yds), I. Styche (11yds), J. B. Craigle (11yds), and R. Bruce (14yds), 12 breaks; W. J. Templeton (llvds), 11; (R. M'Donald (20,vds), W. Hare (11yds), a‘nd A. Carr (11yds), 10 breaks. Mr A. Adamson was the referee.
