Holmlaa is due to-morrow morning from SVellington to load and sail the same evening for Wellington, New Plymouth; and Waikato via Timaru and Lyttelton. Mariposa is to leave Melbourne on Monday next and Sydney on March 4 for San Francisco, where she is due on March 22 via Auckland (due March 7), Suva (March 10), Pago Pago (March 11), Honolulu (March 16), and Los Angeles. The intorisland express steamer Rangatira arrived at Lyttelton from Wellington at 6.40 this morning. Passengers and mails for the south connected with the express. COMPLETE CHURCH IN HOLD. STRANGE PACIFIC ISLAND CARGO. A church—complete with choir stalls, stained glass window, altar, tower, ami Gothic arches—will be taken to Victoria Dock (Melbourne) soon to await shipment to Nauru on the British Phosphate Commission’s steamer Triona. The church has been built in Melbourne for the Rev. C. L. Welch, representative of the London Missionary Society at Nauru, one of the islands on which the Phosphate Commission operates. It will be taken* to

pieces and stowed in tlie holds of the Trioua, which will 'leave for Nauru early next month, and will be reassembled by the native congregation on the island. The church will serve as a place of worship for about 1,000 persons, most of them natives. It will be cruciform in shape, with a bell tower. The timber and furnishings are of redwood to resist the attacks of white ants, which _ destroyed the former church on the island. Natives subscribed £3,000 toward the cost of the building. TRAMP ReIwARTERED. The Norwegian tramp motor ship Tyr (4,265 tons), which was chartered recently by the Co-operative Wheat Group to load 6,200 tons of Victorian wheat, has been idle at the Cork) Bay (Melbourne) anchorage for some days. She left Suva in ballast for Geelong on January 28, and after having been delayed by bad weather arrived at Geelong on February 7. The cancellation date for her charter had expired, and she went to a bay anchorage to “ wait for something to turn up.” She has just been rechartered by Louis Dreyfus and Company to load 0,000 tons of wheat at Geelong for Europe. LIMERICK REPORTS. The Union Company has received a wireless message from its motor ship Limerick, en route from Los Angelos via Papeete, reporting that she expects to reach Auckland at noon on Friday. She will later complete discharge at Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia, and is due here on March 11. TRANSPACIFIC CARGO SERVICE.
