SCHOOL PICNIC

ANDERSON'S BAY EXCURSION

The Anderson’s Bay School held an enjoyable _ picnic on Saturday at the Presbyterian Bible class camp at Tirohanga. Some 500 parents and children attended, and were conveyed to the camp by bus and car. The weather, which was very fine and hot, made the outing very enjoyable for everyone. The soft drinks which were dispensed to the children on arrival were much appreciated, and the members ,of the committee who performed this duty were kept busy for some time. Later ice creams and sweets were given to the children, who voiced their appreciation in no uncertain manner. In the afternoon various races were run, and were enjoyed both by the competitors and onlookers. The heat of the day had by this time been tempered to a slight degree by an easterly wind, and the children entered into the spirit of the races with plenty of vim.
