(Received February 14, at 8 a.m.) The Minister of Transport, speaking at the annual dinner of the Institute of Electrical Engineers, said one of the major responsibilities cast upon him was to endeavour to frame a measure to provide for the distribution of electricity throughout the country in a way that would be a practical technical advance on existing conditions. With the help of skilled forces from l the Electricity Commissioners and his own Ministry, he hoped to achieve this.
