CLOUDY TO OVERCAST The following weather forecast was issued at noon by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, covering the southern districts—Dunedin, ■ Port Chalmers, Tapanui, Winton, Invercargill, Riverton, Orepuki, Halfmoon Bay:— Conditions are still rather disturbed over the New Zealand and Tasman Sea area, a series of westerly depressions continuing to pass. Forecast; Moderate northerly winds, gradually ' freshening and reaching gale force in places, and later backing to westerly; weather, cloudy to overcast, with rain; seas, moderate hut increasing at times in Foveaux Strait..', SUMMER CONDITIONS. Brilliant sunshine, warm temperatures, and little wind made condition* in Dunedin this morning most pleasant. By noon the maximum thermometer had reached the high level of SO.Sdeg, while the minimum was 62.5 deg. Barometric pressure was rising at 29,60 in at midday, when there was a light northwesterly breeze. Rainfall yesterday, afternoon amounted to .Olin, while th* respective maximum and minimum temperature registrations over a period of 24 hours were 68-ldeg and 52.1 deg,
