THE COMPETITIONS
Big Brother Bill would like to suggest a special competition for this week. He would like to know exactly what happened to the bairns during the holiday that has just passed. _ This is impossible! of course —that is, it •is impossible to write in one letter all that happened. But there must have been one special happening that stands out more than any others in the holiday. He .would like the bairns, under and over 10 alike, to write a letter about that one happening. A special prize will be given of 2s 6d to each winner who writes the best, most interesting letter on the subject of 1 THE NICEST THING THAT HAPPENED IN MY HOLIDAY.’ The' -letter will be published, as in past years, and the prize posted. You must write neatly on one side of the paper only, and address your letters to Big Brother Bill, care of ‘ Evening Star,’ Stuart street, Dunedin, 0.1. It does not matter whether you spent your holiday at or away from home, you can enter for this competition.
