WARM AND HUMID i The following weather forecast ■ was issued at noon by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, covering the southern districts—Dunedin, Port Chalmers, Tapanui, Winton. Invercargill, Riverton, Orepuki, Half moon Ray:— The recent anti-cyclone is now centred east of New Zealand, and a very shallow depression is located over the Western Tasman Sea.’" Pressure is falling also in the North Tasman, where there is some indication of disturbed conditions developing.-- Forecast : Light to moderate, but gradually freshening northerly winds. Weather fair to cloudy, with warm and humid conditions, but scattered rain developing later, particularly in the southern area. • A SLIGHT CHANGE. ! Though bright sunshine was only occasionally in evidence this morning in Dunedin, the maximum temperature registration at noon had reached the high level of 74.9 deg. Shortly after midday a slight change took place, dullness becoming apparent. The * slight south-westerly breeze' which had prevailed during the morning tended t» freshen at this stage, though temperatures remained pleasant. The minimum reading was then 63.2 deg. Barometric pressure in the city was steady at 29.9 in. Yesterday over a period of 24 hours the respective maximum and minimum thermometer readings wen 73.2 and 51.7 deg. , '
