BRITISH GOVERNHENT'S POLICY STILL ADHERED TO. : (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, February 9. (Received February 10, at noon.) Asked in the House of Commons whether the Government' still adhered to the policy of partition in Palestine, tho Colonial Secretary .said it still did so,but until the mandate was amended by the League Council- it could not be altered by an act of the British Government. Mr Ormsby Gore added that tho Government regarded the policy of partition as the best means of implementing the proposed establishment of a Jewish national home in Palestine. Acta of terrorism would not deter the Government from the further inquiries necessary to prepare a definite scheme.
