THE NEW FLYING BOATS STRUCTURE TO BE STRENGTHENED. (British Official Wireless.) Pros! Association—Bv Telegraph—Copyrigß RUGBY, February 8. (Received February 9, at noon.) It is announced that the eight additional flying boats ordered by Imperial Airways at the end of last year for the transatlantic and Empire services will be strengthened so that the loaded weight will be B,ooolb higher than that of the two boats which made last year’s flights across the Atlantic. Part of the extra weight will be due to the heavier structure, hut there will still he a margin of some 5,0001 b for a payload.
