TIPS FOR ROSE GROWERS

Don’t throw away any left-over tea or tea-leaves. Empty the teapot into a bucket or pail and let the tea stand until cold. Then empty on to the ground round the base of rose bushes. After a week or so you will find that the foliage is glossier and the blooms brighter and bigger. They are also beneficial to geums. Aonther good food for rose bushes is egg-shell. Place the shells in a hot oven to dry them, and when they are cold crumble them up and sprinkle round the base of the bushes.
