OUR SCENIC DRIVES.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—A correspondent refers to the “ unbearable condition ” of the Peninsula high road. I find this surprising, as I frequently travel on the high road, and for a country road consider it excellent. Certainly it has many bends, but this is a disadvantage only to the driver who travels at high speed, with no regard to the safety of other road users. I hope the previous correspondence will not deter motorists from a drive on a road commanding the most varied views round about Dunedin.—l am, etc., Motorist. November 25.
