TAIERI CLUB'S OPENING
The Taierl Amateur Swimming Club will open the new baths at Mosgiel with a carnival on December 4, the date having been altered from November 27. Scratch races for members of the Taieri Club will be held for juniors, men, and ladies, and the programme of interclub events comprises 100yds handicap, 00 O-Oyds bad: stroke handicap, 100yds breast stroke handicap, 100yds lifo' saving 'handicap, 00 ‘2-.‘iyds intermediate and junior handicap, and IQOyds medley handicap-. A novelty burlesque will be arranged, and it is hoped to stage an exhibition water polo match, while there will also bo demonstrations of swimming, diving, and life saving. It is expected that a large contingent of swimmers from Dimdein will make the trip.
