WORLD'S TINIEST RACEHORSE
ON VIEW AT DUNEDIN SHOW One of the most amazing attractions ever seen on a show ground in Australasia is said to be Wee Jimmy, the world’s smallest racehorse. The little pet, which is the size of a dog, is a perfect model of his big brothers racing on the turf in Buenos Aires. Perhaps Nature meant this infinitesimal animal for some Lilliputian world, there to provide amusement for Lilliput babies. The wonder is how two perfectly ordinary though thoroughbred parents could breed so minute a horse. It is nothing less than marvellous. His mother and father are ordinary, size racehorses, 151- hands and 16 hands respectively, and yet they bred such a perfect pocket edition of the beautiful racehorse. It belongs to Mr Dave T. Meekin, wild animal trainer and general showman, who has insured it for £2,000, _ It is thoroughbred and stands 23Jin high, weighing 361 b, and its proportions are perfect. It is a beautiful jumper and runner, and wears golden shoes about the size of half a crown. Mr Meekin had an offer of £2,000 to part with his pet, hue he would not part with it for any consideration.
This beautiful minute specimen of perfect horseflesh is on exhibition at the Dunedin Show. Huge crowds will avail themselves of the opportunity of seeing what can easily be termed the most perfect bit of horseflesh in miniature the world has ever kuown^
