HERBERT HOME-MAKERS’ CLUB
A variety entertainment of particular merit was staged at Hampden by the Herbert branch of the Junior Homemakers’ Club, and was a success in. every way. The function was held on behalf of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, and was well patronised. The performers were 10 -young_ Herbert ladies, who • carried out their various parts with distinction. The Rev. A. W. Stace, iif moving » vote of thanks and appreciation, congraul&ted tho members of the club on the success of the evening. The programme was * as follows; songs and dance, the club; instrumental trio—Misses Carrie Anderson, Maggie and Lynda Pinlinson; Hungarian dance, Misses Horan and Hore; ‘ Hill Billies,’ the club; song. Mis® Beta Wilson ; recitation, Miss Winnie Simpson; dramatic tableau, 1 When the Poppies Bloom Again ’; play, ‘ Lady Specialist ’; ballet, * Blue Danube,’ the club; pianoforte duet, Misses Horan and Wilson ; tap dance, Miss Lynda Finlinson; song, Miss Beta Wilson; ‘ Boxing Contest,’ Tommy Farr and Joe Louie; fashion parade, ancient and modern; play, ‘ Aunt ,Maria’s Wireless.’
