BATHS FOR MINERS
INSTALLATION AT PITHEADS TO COST OYER TWO MILLIONS. (British Official Wireless.) Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, November 17. The Miners’ Welfare Fund has plans in hand for the installation of pit-head baths at a total cost of £2,100,000 — an amount nearly equal to the cost of all the baths installed between 1926 and the present day. When the proposed installations are completed) bath accommodation will have been provided for 444,000 miners, or two-thirds of the working population underground.
