RETURNED SOLDIERS' CHOIR

As a special offering for the last concert of the season, to he held in the Concert Chatnber on Monday next, tho choir will be assisted by Miss Evelyn Hosken (harpist). It is only on rare occasions that the opportunity occurs to hear this beautiful instrument. Associated with Mr Rees M'Conachy (violinist) and Sybil Baker (pianist)", Miss Hosken will demonstrate the beauties of the harp in delightful selections. 1 King Olaf’s Christmas,’ a cantata by Dudley Buck, will head the choir’s selections, which also include ‘ Dedication,’ by Franz, 1 Tho Blacksmith ’ (Brahms), ‘ Vineta ’ (Hatton), the beautiful ‘ When Evening’s Twilight ’ (also by Hatton), an exquisite number by Robertson, ‘ The Old Woman,’ the compelling ‘ Anvil Chorns,’ and a solo and chorus from ‘ The Mikado,’ ‘ The Lord High Executioner,’ with Mr R. Duerdon as soloist. , Miss Bay Stubbs will make her first appearance with the spldiers, and her full, rich soprano will find adequate scope in ‘ The Arra ’ (by Rubenstein) ,_ ‘Yesterday and To-day'’ and ‘ Alleluia ’ (seventeenth centurv ; arranged by O’Connor Morris). Mr G. Christie (New Zealand champion cornetist) will play a selection, and the choir soloists will bo Messrs R. H. MayHold, L. B. Borrow, R. Duerdon, and C. R. Williamson. Miss Sybil Baker will be the pianist, and Mr John T. Lce-di will bo in control.
