MEETING OF COUNCIL The fortnightly meeting of the St. Kilda Borough Council was held last night, there being present .the Mayor (Mr J. J. Marlow), Crs-6. 61ne, 'V?. Jrf Davidson, J. H. Hinton, R., S. Brent, T. D, B. Roy, N. D. Anderson, J,' * Cherry, and E. Longworth. FINANCE. Accounts passed for payment totalled £1273 3s 2d, and receipts for the fortnight amounted to £376 8s 7d, while it was reported that the credit balance stood at £685 2s 7d. WATER ACCOUNT. The 3,944,000 gallons of water consumed during the last two weeks cost £9B 12s, as against £B9 10s 6d for the previous fortnight. ■ REPORTS. After detailing the work done in the last fortnight, the foreman, in -his re* port, suggested for the ensuing fort* night sealing Victoria road, from Kennedy street to Forbury road and Albert street. Victoria road, from Auld street to the boundary, had been penetrated and the sealing coat finished on November 11.—Adopted. In his : report the inspector stated that one case of an infectious disease had been notified' and a disinfection of the premises carried, out. Traffic duty on Victoria road had been carried out’ on two Srtnrdrv r-'t—'roniis. lint o breaches of the regulation's wcit observed. A general inspection of : tbo borough had been made.—Adopted."
