Dr Liston, Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland, who has been attending the golden jubilee celebrations of St. Mary’s, Mosgiel, returned to Auckland by air to-day. Mr J. Douglas, assistant engineer atj the Dunedin gasworks, who is leaving after 25 years’ service to take up a. \ position with the Masterton Gas l)e* partment as manager and engineer, was met by the works staff yesterday afternoon and presented with a canteen of! cutlery.
