COLLAPSE OF GRAND STAND

(Received November 15, at 8 a.m.) 1 For the first time it has been revealed since the grand stand collapse that one person was killed and 404 toured. Three officials responsible for the erection of the grand stand Imve been arrested on a charge of manslaughter. [A cablegram received on September 17 stated: A grand stand, oh which 5,000 people* including high placed diplomats, were watching: a military parade, crumbled into the area without warning. Many of those injured; suffered broken legs and arms. The. parade was suspended, the troops rescuing victims. Hundreds of people are reported to have been injured, including the Belgian Consul-General, who suffered a broken leg, and other important officials and diplomats. The crash occurred when the s l”B in unison to salute a passing detachment, sat down simultaneously. Thera is an official censorship, and the public have not been informed of the, extent of the accident and the numbers injured.] •
