OAMARU RIFLE CLUB

CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES The fifth match of the championship series was fired on the Federal range on Saturday, _ Conditions were very unpleasant, with _ a strong northeasterly wind, which kept marksmen on the alert at all times. The match was won by Rifleman D. Borrie, with 97, who defeated Rifleman S. Taylor on the count back. Rifleman W. Gibson was top scorer at 600yds with 45, counting out Rifleman R. M'Latchio, also with the same score. At 300yds the standard of shooting improved, and Riflemen A. Allan and W. Smith were top scorers with 48. The following are the prize winners:—
