THRESHING MILL WORKERS’ DISPUTE SETTLED A. complete agreement was reached yesterday in the industrial dispute between the threshing mill and chaffcutter. worker's and their employers. The, only'remaining issue, that iof wages, was settled in the afternoon, the following rates beino; agreed upon:—Minimum rate, 2s 2a an hour and found; band cutter, who steers the engine, 25s a week extra; header-har-vester drivers, 2s 8d an hour; other (harvester workers, 2s 6} cl an hour. Chaffcuttors, lOd per ton and Is 8d per ton on straw chan; chaficutters north of Shag River, 3s 8d per 100 bags and found, or 4s per 100 hags and not found (Is extra for straw dial). Cook, where only one is employed, weekly wage of £5 5a for nine men employed; £4 18s 3d, for eight men; £4 10s, for seven men; £4 2s 6d, for six men; £3 15s, for five men. The wages are to be commenced from December 1, hut the date of the coming into operation of the other terms and conditions were referred to the court.
