THIEVES ENTER HOTEL BAR Some time during last night a daring theft was carried out at Tattersals’ Hotel, Stafford street. Thieves procured a step ladder to climb to the open skylight above the private bar door in the main passage, gaining entry to the room in that manner. From the bar they removed £5 14s in cash and half a dozen bottles of whisky, unlocked the door from the inside, and made their departure. No arrest had been made up to 3 p.m.
