SOLD TO CROWN A CASTLE INCLUDED. (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY. November 11. ’ A castle, six villages, and 90,000 acres of land in Scotland, including seven famous grouse moors, 449 farms and small holdings, and 3,764 acres of woodlands, have been purchased by the Commissioners of Crown Lands from the Duke of Richmond and Gordon. The property forms the greater part of the Duke’s estates in Morayshire and Banffshire, and covers about 140 square miles. The commissioners have purchased the property as a permanent investment, taking over the, estates as a going concern. The purchase price was not disclosed. The tenants will not he disturbed and the employees will he retained.
