TIMARU AND WAITAKI KICK [Per United Press Association.] TIMARU, November 11. The annual matches between the Timaru and Waitaki Boys’ High Schools first and second elevens were opened to-day in brilliant weather. In the senior match Waitaki hatted first, scoring 23-1 (Andrew 62, Blakeley 43, Tilbury 24, Mee 23). Timaru made a poor response, being all out for 109 (W. M‘Leod 43). Watson took four wickets for 33, Tilbury two for 6, Houghton two for 2, and Cameron two for 22.

In the junior game Timaru mad© 121 and Waitaki 195. At stumps Timaru had lost three wickets for 5 runs.
