(Received November 12, at 10.35 a.m.) A land mine exploded in Dublin Castle, destroying the Royal coat of arms above the doorway of the annex. People in nearby houses and hotels rushed into the streets in night attire. Shop fronts and windows were broken. A section of the building known as the old detective office and formerly used by the Black-and-Tans was badly damaged.
