WRESTLING

ANOTHER WIN FOR M'CREADY [Per United Press Association.]

CHRISTCHURCH, November 9. In the last bout of the season Earl M'Cready beat doe Woods by one fall. Though more than a stone lighter, Woods put up probably the best fight of his career, and for the major portion of the bout punished M'Cready in painful wristloeks. The last round was almost a stand-up fight after M'Cready had gained a fall in the sixth round with an octopus hold, and for a long time it seemed that Woods would equalise, hut M'Cready was equal to the occasion, and the final bell went with both groggy but on their feet.
