TOWN HALL DANCE

PIANO-AGGORDION BAND Continuing with its policy of giving patrons of the Town Hall dance the latest novelties, the management of this popular function has secured for to-morrow night the services of Brook’s Piano-accordion Band, led and conducted by Mr Ted Heaney. This will be the band’s first appearance, and it should prove popular with dancers and spectators alike. As usual, Jock M'Caw’s augmented Mayfair Band will be in attendance, and for special request numbers the two bands will be combined, making 20 musicians in all. The vocal refrains will be sung by Mr James MacFarlane. The fourth semifinal of the dancing contest will bo held, and interest is becoming acute, as the date of the final draws near. In order that patrons may attend the dance in comfort during the warm summer months, fans have been installed in the ballroom, and the men are invited to wear sports clothes A picnic will be held at Evansdale on Sunday, and a special train will leave Dunedin at 10 a.m. The public is invited, and there will be races for the children, and Hogg’s sound system and a band _ will be in attendance to provide music.
