The Minister‘for Transport planned to spend £4,400,000 on road improvements with as little delay as possible. About £3,500,000 will be devoted t* the provision of new by-pass roads, ana the entire cost of schemes now approved will b© met from the Road Fund. Thirty-seven, by-pass road schemes are to be carried out.
