PLEA FOR INTERNATIONAL INQUIRY INFLUENTIAL BRITISH PETITION Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, November 2. Urging the Government to invite self-governing States, dominions, and colonies to'combine in establishing a commission to inquire into the questions of access to raw material, world markets, colonial development, and surplus populations, tho representatives of signatories to a petition seeking an international inquiry into the cause of unrest among nations formed a deputation to the Prime Minister. The petition originated in Liverpool, and it was widely supported by all political parties. Tho signatories include leading churchmen, parliamentarians, heads of universities, and royal societies, and noted writers. Foreign loans, credits, trade restrictions, and international exchange are other proposed subjects for inquiry.
