ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES
DUNEDIN ALTERATIONS STAND COMMISSION DISREGARDS PETITIONS [From Our Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON, October 15. “ Unable to comply ” is the decision of the Electoral Boundary Commission upon every objection made to its new boundaries for Dunedin seats. Petitions in respect to Dunedin North were considered from R. T. Sted; man and the secretary of the Wakari Improvement Society, suggesting an alteration in the boundary affecting Dunedin West, while 10 residents of Lynn street objected unsuccessfully to inclusion in Dunedin North. The Town Clerk, St. Kilda, objected to the inclusion of Musselburgh in Dunedin Central.
Seven petitions from representative organisations objected to the elimination of the Chalmers electorate, but again the decision is in the negative. A suggestion adopted came from the Registrar of Electors, Queenstown, that the Central Otago boundary near Queenstown borough be amended to follow the Shotover River, and that Nokomai be included in the Wallace electorate.
