WAR TRAINING FOR WOMEN

WNY NOT AN AIN FON6E? AMY JINNSON'S VIEWS Fiw Association—By Telegraph— Copyright

LONDON, October 13. Amy Johnson, in an article in the ‘Daily Mail’ on the subject of war training for women, asks: Why not a women’s air force? Women should have the opportunity of training, so that when necessary they could release large, reserves of pilots, navigators, wireless operators, and engineers foe active service. She does not advocate that women should be trained as fight* ing pilots in peace time, but could pro* pare for aerial ambulance work, photo* graphic survey and radio work, except over enemy country, and as instructors and engineers.
