UNEMPLOYMENT FUND
“ THERE TO BE ROBBED" FURTHER PROSECUTIONS OF FRAUD [Pee United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, October 15. In imposing fines in a number of cases of unemployment frauds to-day Mr Mosley, d.it.., said Jt appeaie. tuat honesty was not thought as in New Zealand as elsewhere People in New Zealand seemed to think that the unemployment fund was there to be robbed; judging by the prosecutions thousands seemed to think so. It was a very bad thing for the future of a young nation that such a state of things should exist One could only hope that there would be a change in the attitude of the people. All that could be done now was to punish with severity the more serious offenders.
