PRIZE DOGS ON PARADE
KKttEL CLUB’S CORONATION SHOW MANY OUTSTANDING ENTRKS The aristocrats of the dog world were on parade in the Brydone Hall to-day for the opening of the Otago Kennel Club’s Coronation Show. With nearly 200 dogs of all varieties and sizes—from the tiny toys to the massive 11stone St. Bernard’s —all making themselves heard, there was pandemonium in the air, and if there was any momentary lull it was like “ the sudden sound of silence.” This show will certainly provide a fascinating study for any dog-lover. The dogs on exhibition are leaders of their classes and represent breeding in its finest form, and there was a highly-interested gallery all through this morning and afternoon as they showed off their points in the prize ring. The Judge of the show is Mr J. Soler, of Owhango, and he was faced with an arduous day in making tiio awards in many closely-contested jslassee. . , . Results at time of going to Press: — PEKINGESE.
