WORST APPARENTLY OYER RUBBER STAGES A COMEBACK Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, October 7. (Received October 8, at 10.15 a.m.) The markets opened more firmly, rubbers staging an especially marked recovery. Mines and oils were also favoured, while industrials were quiet but steadier. The actual volume of business was small. There is still a good deal of wreckage to clear up. City opinion is that the trouble came to a head yesterday, but that the staggering fall in Wall Street from the August high levels, amounting to thousands of millions of pounds, will take a long time to get over.
