CAMPAIGN FOR RETURN DEMAM NR MWIDEIATIW OF CLAIMS Frws Association —By Telegraph—Copyright i BERLIN, October 7 (Received October 8, at 12.40 p.m.) An inspired Press campaign for the return of Germany’s colonies has begun with the publication on the front page of practically every German newspaper of an editorial demand for inter- / national consideration of Germany’s claims. SOOTH-WEST AFRICA BOER POLICY DEFINED. JOHANNESBURG, October 7. (Received October 8, at noon.) Mr J. G. Strydow, leader of the Nationalist Party, a strong Boer organisation, informed a congress of his. party, that it was not the Nationalist policy to return South-west Africa to Germany, but if Germany insisted, they would not lift a finger or fire a shot to prevent her getting her colonies ; back. It was resolved to ask the Government to direct , the League’s attention ' to the situation with a view to finding a solution after discussion with Italy and Germany.
