THE NATIONAL PARTY.
TO TUB KDITO*. Sir, —Referring to the article which - appeared in'your journal on subject of National Party candidates, and the. subsequent qualifying '“•local ” in which specific reference was made to Mr R. S. Glendining, the implication, now rests . that the other ' gentleman mentioned in the original article have been approached by the party with a view to their consenting to nomination. My committee would appreciate yonr making quite, clear the fact that none i* of the gentlemen named as candidates have been approached by this' party— . this in fairness to the individuals concerned and to the party.—l am, etc,, ■ A. S. Falconib ’ , \ 4 (Secretary, New Zealand: National Earty, Otago and Southland Divi- • siori). October 7.- •
