GOODALL STREET.
TO THE KDITOK. Sir, —I am in full agreement with the letter on the ahove subject‘by “ R. 8.”. The extension of Goodall _ street to Momington is a work which should have been put in hand long ago, and it is even more necessary now. Caversham is badly served with access to the hill suburb, and motorists in particular have to take a very roundabout route* One very good reason which should commend the work to the City Council is that it would open up a new and convenient road to Clyde Hill, the residents of which who wish to visit the vicinity of Caversham Lav© to make a long, wearying journey via Leckhampton Court. Another point is that this alternative route to Momington would undoubtedly relieve the traffic on the South road from the southern part of th© city, and remove the congestion which occurs in. rush hours at the bottleneck ■at the Gloij. _ Hoping the council will take ; steps ;in the _ near future to carjy out this very desirable work.—l am, etc., E-T-October 7.
