CRICKET AT OAMARU
KORTH mm EXECUTIVE - At the first meeting of the executive of the North Otago Cricket Association the New Zealand Cricket Council wrote in reference to the biennial conference to be held at Christchurch, and Mr J. Palmer was appointed the association’s special delegate. • The following entries were received for the competition;—Union, one first grade and one second grade; St. Kevin's, one second and two third grade: Albion, one first grade and one second grade; Oamaru, one first and oAe second grade; School, one first grade, two second grades, and two third grades. The secretary (Mr T. .Jacobs) was instructed to write to the New Zeal-nd Council asking if it was compulsory to adopt the new Ibw rule, and also to use the “ big ” stumps. It was decided to write to the Palmerston and Waimate Associations asking for dates for representative fixtures, and also to the Otago Association ' asking that a junior representative team play North Otago Juniors at Oamaru on Labour Day. The ' question of sending teams to Dunedin for Country Week and Christmas was discussed, and delegates were asked to approach their clubs and make definite arrangements for both matches. The following committees were appointed :—Selection: Messrs C. Zimmerman, J. Maddigan, and F. Jones; Postponement and Grading, Messrs W. Uttley, O. J. Marshall, and T, ,W. Jacobs,

School B, at School; St. Kevin’s A v. St. Kevin’■ B, at Redcastle. It was agreed to resume the grad* matches after the Christmas vacation on January 8.
